An entrepreneurial leader elaborates many qualities that have allowed him to succeed in the field in which he has decided to work. It is important for entrepreneurs to practice these skills due to the high risk involved in starting your own business. History has shown many examples of failed businesses due to the weaknesses of entrepreneurship, whether it be a lack of creativity, failure to see market opportunities, or inability to change course in a company in response to a new competitor. So, if you were to join an entrepreneurial start-up, it is essential that the leader of the business team develops these skills for the company to be successful. The three skills these leaders must have are creativity, high risk tolerance, and obsession with opportunity. The first quality that an entrepreneurial leader must have is creativity. Entrepreneurs don't succeed in the field by doing what others have done before them. They think outside the box, employing new ways for customers to see a new product in a new light. They are relentless in changing the status quo. One leader who embodies this skill is Steve Job. Steve Job was the former longtime leader of the Apple Corporation. One innovation is the graphical interface associated with the Macintosh. The GUI changes the way we navigate the computer. Instead of using the Command Prompt, Apple decided to use graphics as a representation of a specific computer application. An example is a sheet of paper as a representation of a word processing application. This radical innovation allows the computer to be used by ordinary people who find the command prompt system too complicated. Today, GUI is used by all computers. The second quality an entrepreneur has... is half the story... whether he can predict future trends and start creating a product for it. Therefore, an Entrepreneur embodies many qualities that allow him to be successful in his field. For me an entrepreneur must be creative. He must be able to think outside the box and is trying to bring new innovations in his field. An entrepreneur must also have a high risk tolerance. He must be able to dive headfirst into an opportunity and must face the fact that, at some point in his career, he would have to deal with failure. The final quality an entrepreneur must have is an obsession with opportunity. An entrepreneur must look at everything as an opportunity to create a new business. An entrepreneur with this characteristic is able to be more successful and be “ahead of the game” in terms of new business opportunities. These 3 qualities are indicative of a successful entrepreneur.
