The Ten Commandments originated from God to Moses and were given around 1513 BC; where God established a set of duties and responsibilities for people so that they could go to heaven. Moses had to deliver these commandments to the people of Egypt that would lead them on the path of righteousness. Some of these rules stated that God's people should praise only him and him alone and not other Gods and not kill or commit other wrongs that would dishonor them as individuals. On the other hand, the Ten Codes of Hammurabi originated from King Hammurabi who was inscribed on the stone. It was inscribed around 1750 BC for the purpose of describing the period in which Hammurabi first became king and to establish the laws in which they corresponded to human problems. It described almost everything, including: marriage with family relationships; protection of women and children; poverty; protection of property and many others where people were influenced to follow to do good in the society.
