Socialism is a complex system derived from the intellectuals Karl Marx and Frederich Engels. This system essentially promotes social ownership of the means of production and cooperative management of the society's economy. This concept in Marxist theory is the lower stage of communism that replaces capitalism in the model of historical materialism. Socialism in the Marxist paradigm operates according to the principle “to each according to his contribution”. Socialism adapts to revolutionary socialism when it becomes necessary to take revolutionary action to achieve the transition from capitalism to socialism. Within this socialist revolution, movements take place according to the theories of orthodox Marxism, Luxembourgism and Leninism, each with its own method of achieving a socialist state.
