The insight I gained from this exercise on developing the moral character of a leader is that through hard work, ethics and determination anyone can be successful at being a leader. We must learn from mistakes and blame ourselves when we fall behind our best performances. Malinda says, “Developing a leader of moral character must include confidence, charisma, determination, wisdom, detail, organization, and patience.” I agree with this statement, I exhibit many of these traits. A verse about moral character is Corinthians 15:33 in the English Standard Version of the Bible which states, “Do not be deceived: bad company ruins good morals.” Additionally, seeing Ms. Potier in her work environment allows me to see how she solves problems in the workplace. Ms. Potier analyzes the problem and offers several options before choosing one. If he senses dissonance, he asks another supervisor for input. This shows great insight into the moral character of the leader. The morals of a leader are very important: they are those values that have allowed that leader to be successful in that body...
