In the 21st century, we recognize that changes in life experience are more challenging nowadays. Surrounding life exposed to negative elements increases the tendency towards unhealthy lifestyles and social problems especially among adolescents. The increasing cases of shameful acts of abandonment of newborns and fetuses around the world have recently alarmed society to take serious attention in handling this issue. We can also see that most reporting media, such as mass media and electronic media, highlight child abandonment cases every day. The problem seems to be a trend among young people and who to blame? Should parents be responsible for this problem or should young people be to blame? This story also involves the surrounding communities when the problem becomes serious because it never ends. Recently, the world is facing a serious issue regarding child dumping, which is becoming more and more chronic and attracting much attention. The issue of child dumping will be given more attention than others as it is the often talked about topic among the public recently, even though this crime has been reported for the past decade. The problem of child dumping and infanticide is getting worse nowadays, however there are many ways and solutions to overcome this problem. What exactly does baby dumping consist of? There are several definitions related to this topic which covers different aspects. It is not just about leaving newborns, but profoundly relates to "matters involving children under 12 months left outdoors or indoors with the intention of disposing of the child regardless of threats to the safety of the child's life" (Journal, Rathakrishnan et al. al., 2013). Besides that, the dictionary has divided the meaning into… half of the paper… seriously in order to develop a leading country and also a progressive nation. However, it is better to be able to avoid committing this shameful act than to solve the problem because it is a waste to cry over spilled milk. As has been discussed earlier, there are many factors that contribute to this problem such as embarrassment; the partner is not willing to stay and get married; influence by pornographic material; and many others. As a result, there are many consequences that arise from such incorrect behavior, including damage to health; increase deaths of teenage mothers and newborns; and others. Don't worry, there are also ways to overcome this problem such as help from parents and healthcare professionals; personal dignity and sacrifice; sex education; religious programs and many others. Therefore, child abandonment and infanticide are issues that must be taken seriously.
