Today, digital media has greatly influenced children of the 21st century. Educational experiences have remained consistent even though there have been some significant changes in the ways and models of teaching and learning with the advancement of media, mainly due to the invention of the Internet and the popularity of e-learning. Therefore, educators should deliberately “look differently at the communication and education of today's media-centric youth” and use such technologies as supplementary teaching materials that allow pedagogues to be more diverse. However, this advancement of our society towards a media-centric world does not appear to be without challenges. First, the virtual classroom is not necessarily suitable for all students. I myself have actively learned from the web, print and media. The abundant amount of knowledge, experience and creativity I have gained through different types of media is invaluable. But on the other hand, I have seen people fall into the abyss of depression, drug abuse, and suicide. Therefore, the goal of teaching and learning should be focused on training students to think
