WIRELESS CELLULAR NETWORK: A cellular network is a telecommunications network. It is usually operated by any service provider that supports smartphones, which gives the ability to provide any type of data such as Internet browsing and email. ORGANIZATION OF CELLULAR NETWORK: In a cellular network a particular area is divided into cells, each cell is served by its own antenna. Each cell is assigned a frequency band and is served by a base station, consisting of a transmitter, receiver and control unit. Adjacent cells are assigned different types of frequencies to avoid crosstalk or interference. The cells are designed in two shapes, square shaped cells and hexagonal shaped cells. SQUARE-SHAPED CELLS: Let "d" be the width of a cell, so a cell has four neighbors at distance d and four neighbors at distance 1.414d.HEXAGON-SHAPED CELLS: The distance from the center to the vertex is equal to the length of the side .If R is the radius of the cell, the distance between the centers of the cells is √3 R.FREQUENCY REUSE: Frequency reuse is nothing but the use of the same frequency in other nearby c...
