Sarty decides to teach his father a lesson after spending time in court, being embarrassed, and having to move from place to place. He decided to choose the right path. Even though Sarty might lose his family. He wants to teach his father a lesson. He didn't choose this decision out of hate, but out of love for his family. Unlike the kids in “Greasy Lake,” Sarty wasn't old enough to make decisions, but he was very mature for a kid old enough to know right from wrong. Sarty has acquired the same traits that the three young boys in "Greasy Lake" also acquired. These two stories demonstrate that it is difficult to make the right decision. The difficulty in making a decision is making sure it doesn't have a negative impact on your future. Plus, your decision can affect the people who matter most to you. All of these protagonists portrayed the proper leadership skills to overcome their trials and tribulations. These stories could have a positive effect on someone who feels lost, confused and
