There is a lot of discussion about what happened to the dinosaurs. Scientists have one theory and religions have others. Scientists mostly believe that what killed the dinosaurs was a huge meteor. Religions, however, have theories that say everything from bloodshed and disease to Noah's ark and a huge flood. In my opinion, scientific theories seem more realistic and credible. This article will discuss the theories and evidence provided by science and also the theories and evidence provided by religion. After writing about the scientific and religious views on dinosaurs, I will give my opinion on which seems more credible and what I think happened to the dinosaurs. Scientists and paleontologists believe that a massive meteor strike killed all the dinosaurs. Scientists also believe that the meteor was just the final blow, they believe that all creatures of that time suffered from heat and air defects due to numerous volcanic eruptions. Scientists believe that years before the meteor hit the earth, volcanoes were erupting and killing creatures and the ash from these volcanoes was also killing creatures. Scientists believe that the meteorite that hit Earth was just the final blow to killing off the dinosaurs. The only surviving creatures were small animals that could hide from the explosion. Those who could bury themselves underground and remain safe. These were the small mammals that dinosaurs hunted and ate. Scientists believe that the meteor was the last explosion that killed the dinosaurs, and that the only creatures to survive were those who managed to hide from the explosion. Their evidence is many fossils in ash layers and also a giant crater on Earth. Bottom line......half of the paper......ours are only a few thousand years old and have killed each other because of sin and say the science is wrong. Works Cited What happened to the dinosaurs?.
