During my first week at college, everything about college was unknown to me. From what to expect in college, to adjusting to the college environment, the college experience seemed nerve-wracking at first. However, the Freshman Seminar classes have proven beneficial to my college life. Through this course, I not only learned about the college experience, but I also adapted learning techniques that significantly improved my performance in other classes, as well as being a successful college student. Additionally, the Freshman Seminar increased my confidence level about college. The Freshman Seminar 101 Experience implemented a very precious memory that will stay with me throughout my college experience. With the skills I gained in the Freshman Seminar, I feel I can use the knowledge from that course to assist in other classes in order to become a successful student at Bowie State University. Additionally, with the current skills I have, I know I will need to further my skills to be successful, but I am ready to use the skills I need to pass other courses and to ensure I reach my goals in college by establishing positive relationships through students from BSU to test myself in the challenges I will encounter in the future. Through the Freshman Seminar, I have made valuable connections with my instructors and friends I have recently made. Overall, the Freshman Seminar has proven to be beneficial not only to my college life, but also to my personal life itself.
