When the project began in 1990, fewer than one hundred human pathogenic genes were known. At the conclusion of the project in 2003, the number of known disease genes amounted to over fourteen hundred, however, the human order project focused on an individual's polymer sequence. The results of the human genome project translate into significant improvements in drugs for several diseases. The government-initiated project allows researchers and doctors to understand the etiology of lesser-known diseases. After knowing the factors behind the disease, researchers tried to discover drugs that could cure such diseases and reduce their effects. It also made the world aware that genes could be used for research and medical purposes in the field of medicine. As a result of this project, it has become very simple to produce clones and genes by performing genetic sequencing and different analyzes on a person's genes. In the future of this project, doctors will become fully capable of understanding the hidden causes of the disease, which will later help in understanding the management of their disease.
