Exotic animals are very difficult to have as pets. No matter how much information an owner has about the pet, they will never have enough to properly care for their pets. These animals pose a risk to their owners, their owners' families, and society if they ever get loose. The fear that one of these animals will become aggressive and lash out; perhaps killing their owner is accentuated by time spent in captivity. It is not recommended to keep any of these animals as pets and educate future owners of these animals. Monkeys A baby monkey may be the closest living animal to a human baby. A future owner might want a monkey because they are so similar to human babies. Both the monkey and the newborns defecate unexpectedly and throw tantrums. The monkeys and babies have to wear diapers and they both fit in everything. However, human children have a moral conscience and eventually a child grows up; monkeys never do that. Monkeys can throw tantrums for hours without warning and even have stories of biting their owners. They can transmit HEPA and HIV-1 through bites. The longer the primate remains in captivity, the more the owner's life is at risk as it becomes highly unpredictable and more aggressive. The most popular monkey to have as a pet is a common marmoset. Since they cannot be separated from their families, they require very large enclosures both inside and outside. The marmoset needs to be fed a wide variety of foods (fruits, vegetables and live insects) during the day and otherwise it easily develops food-related diseases, which could lead to death. They can carry numerous diseases such as internal parasites and salmonella. The second most popular monkey is a rhesus macaque. They are an invasive species... middle of the paper... to keep up with the costs of feeding and entertaining a big cat. There basically has to be a butcher in the owners' yard because they can eat up to 50 pounds of meat a day. The owner must mentally and physically care for a large cat for many hours of the day so that it does not get bored or aggressive. Wolves Wolves are very independent, they eat, sleep and play when they want and are their own masters. They are too wild to live alongside humans because when they feel threatened they attack. An adult wolf can kill an adult moose and can sense the sickest animal in a herd without showing any symptoms. They may become unnaturally aggressive or shy around strangers, including their owner. No matter how active the owner's lifestyle, a wolf can run at least 30 miles a day. They also consume a lot of raw meat during the day and need a balanced diet.
