The main character of my novel was a girl named Tris. When Tris chooses her faction at age 16, she chooses Dauntless. On page 47 it says: “I am selfish”. "I'm brave." These words mean that she is very confident. Tris grows up in the Dauntless community with one of her new good old friends, Christina. On page 66, Christina shows some of her courageous attitude by saying, “Who is that?” Cristina hisses. I think this shows a lot of his courage. The main conflict of this story is simply to stay at the top of the leaderboard so you can at least survive. I mean, if the time of this story were real, I probably wouldn't be alive right now. This is how difficult it is to survive during this time. On page 253 it talks about how Tris is stuck in a tub full of water! She tries to get out but ends up breaking the glass and is free. This would scare me so much just being in a glass tube that I would die before the water started to rise. Page 257 “Changes in Behavior-”Denotative”- The way a person behaves; bearing. Which doesn't happen to me very often. Reading for the last 4 years has been a terror for me. I'm so bored. But when books like this come out with things happening in the perfect order, it makes me want to start reading a lot again! The reason Veronica Roth made this story is because she wanted to get more people to read her books. For example, so many people recommended Divergent to me and since I read it now, I would really recommend it to people. He wants all the people who have read his books to convince others to read them. Plus, this book can be fun. Emotion everywhere, at all times. There's always something happening. That's what I love about books like these. I believe he wrote these books to persuade and entertain.
