Topic > The problem with youth language today - 804

Have you noticed something wrong with the vocabulary used by young people in the modern world? If not, I suggest you take another look. Words and sentence structure have become lazy and have lost their proper degree of importance, falling into the idea that young people see as dull and boring. The vast amount of words are slowly decaying to the last of their lives, soon to be unused or abused by the masses, some even becoming extinct due to negligence or ignorance of current existence. Unfortunately, the definitions have even been altered because they are used incorrectly in everyday language, especially by today's young people. I will talk about how some or most young adults speak, how this can carry into adulthood, the disadvantages of using the language, ways to encourage the use of correct and advanced language in speaking and writing and more. The tone that many young people accept informally and is fine, especially if it is friends or family. The problem is that some of them don't understand the right moment to change the tone and jargon to fit a more correct and formal context. Instead, they continue to use the slang and inappropriate tones that are normal in everyday conversations. This can cause complications for young people in certain situations, such as job interviews or when talking to an adult who doesn't know them. Mannerisms in speaking can also manifest themselves in writing, causing difficulty for students in classes that require essays. If a teenager has poor speech or can't figure out when to change his mannerisms, he likely won't develop the skill into adulthood. This is a problem because once in a position to be seen as an adult, it means you have to behave a certain way and give a ce...... middle of paper ......condemned. This method was also used to avoid telling the whole truth or withholding information. I do not consider it a negative trait to possess the ability to manipulate words for a purpose, as personality traits are not good or bad, but are used for reasons of good or evil. Instead, I view it as more on the smart side, or something good to have as long as you don't use it for selfish gain or to harm anyone. I myself use word manipulation in everyday life, as most people tend to do unconsciously. Speaking from experience, the way we talk to different people changes depending on a wide variety of factors, such as difference in age or rank, relationship, and formal or informal environment. It is simply something we do to switch between dialects and the correct way to speak in each situation to adapt to the ever-changing society and environment around us.
