Peer-to-Peer networks are computer systems connected to each other via the Internet. Peer-to-peer networking is also known as P2P. Files can be shared directly between systems on the same network without the need for a central server. Therefore, every computer that has a P2P network becomes both a file server and a client. The P2P network can be connected with a universal serial bus to transfer files or connected so that more than 12 computers share data via a copper wire. P2P is used so that two or more computers are connected and share files without going through a separate server computer. Universities and companies have been using this concept for more than 30 years. P2P networking became famous after the invention of Napster in 1990. Technically, most P2P networks are not pure peer networks because they use central servers for some functions, which makes them hybrid peer-to-peer. Peer-to-Peer is a field of distribution systems that focuses primarily on file sharing but is not limited to it. The software communicates with each other, creating a P2P network. P2P architecture mainly depends on the placement of a network server and a network client on each computer. This concept provides access services from other computers running the same software. Based on how nodes are connected to each other, P2P can be distributed into categories. Unstructured P2Ps have no centralized system. Unstructured P2P has 3 types of categories called pure peer-to-peer, hybrid peer-to-peer and centralized peer-to-peer. Each is assigned a different thing. Structured P2P consists of a protocol that ensures that any node can efficiently route itself to search for some peer that has the desired files even if the file is r...... middle of paper ...... hral Communications and Design and United Devices. One medium for P2P networking that is still intact is the wireless world. There are many possible applications of P2P networking that are being developed today. The wave of P2P applications leads to the release of Mosiac, the first popular web browser. It was impossible to imagine eBay, Amazon or Yahoo! Yet they are still among us. These applications use the P2P network. Many different industries agree that the applications of P2P are limitless. In conclusion, the peer-to-peer network uses a file sharing system but it does not consist only of this. P2P computing uses a server and client model. Since Usenet, P2P networks have grown and will continue to grow. It was a very important part of the Intel Company, which uses P2P for its computer chips.
