Next to everyone there are the doctors, the parents, the coaches and the fighter. Each sport requires a physical and consent form from the player's legal guardians and family doctor. Physically, the doctor notes both the player's abilities and disabilities to determine whether or not he can play. This gives full consent from both the doctor and the player's parents to play the sport, and by accepting, the parents understand the natural consequences and take full responsibility should anything happen to their child. Additionally, athletic trainers and a doctor are present at each boxing tournament to analyze and help players with medical disabilities. Additionally, amateur boxing requires fighters to always wear protective headgear during a match, and players must undergo a rigorous medical procedure before they can play (Boxing). This helps reduce the risk of causing head injuries.
