Who doesn't want to be successful in life? Success is what everyone in this world strives to achieve, but not everyone can taste it because they don't know how. To be successful you need to make some decisions, you need to know what you want to accomplish and create a strategic plan as a guideline to get the end results you want for your life. College is one of the tools you can use to succeed because it gives you the skills you need to succeed and prepares you for a career. Succeeding in college will show you what determination and commitment can do; it will give you the confidence you need in yourself to achieve everything you want in life. Success means taking control of your career, achieving your goals, but before you can do that you need to make a plan. College is an easy decision for students, but finding the motivation to keep moving toward your goal is difficult. As Marcia L. Conner said “Motivation is the force that drives you to move toward something. It can come from a desire or a curiosity within you or it can come from an external force that pushes you.” pp 7. Only motivation can help you finish what you are starting. Young students sometimes enroll in college because their families want them to, or because they think it's the logical step once they graduate from high school. For adult students it is different, sometimes they enroll because they want to embark on a new career to be happy in their life. If you love what you do you can be incredibly productive and efficient. Other students want to reach a distant goal and College is one of the steps they can take to prepare to reach that goal, for others who are returning completing the degree they have started may be their goal. Additionally, your education......middle of paper......will help you determine which strategies to use to achieve your goals. Always think about the various ways available to achieve your goals and choose the most accurate one, because as Napoleon Hill said "The world has a habit of making way for the man whose words and actions show that he knows where he is going." In conclusion, plans are the blueprints for achieving goals. They are organized by sequence and priority and represent the step-by-step list of what you will do. You can have motivation in life, you can have a diploma, you can have skills, but if you lack a project you don't know what to do. Every successful person in the history of the world had a plan. To be successful in college, to be successful after college you must set your goals and the ability to plan, organize and complete small or even larger and more complex goals will be the measure of your success.
