Greenhouse gases are a series of gases that contribute to global warming and warm the earth. The greenhouse gases emitted are carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide and more. Greenhouse gases absorb infrared rays (heat) emitted by the Sun, which will be retained in the Earth's atmosphere rather than being reflected back into space, which helps the Earth's temperature remain constant.
