As a student interested in starting a business one day, learning about business models and their benefits is preparing me for the real world. Those models like SWOT analysis are bringing me closer to my dream of running my own business. Professor Sheldon's experience in the business environment opened my mind to the experience of running a business. This has helped me slowly develop my plans on the nature of the business I want to get into and also the stakeholders I am beholden to. In addition to the obligation I am also subject to the laws of the country and social responsibility. I have to consider ethical behavior in doing business as the lack of it has negative effects. Look at Enron, for example, where the company lied to its stakeholders just to keep stock prices high and later caused the company to collapse. This resulted in the loss of many investors' pensions and savings and the board is now serving a long prison sentence
