Technology is advancing every field of science in unimaginable ways. Computers alone have opened up countless job and educational opportunities that are continuously growing day by day. Doctors and scientists in the medical world use computers for everything from keeping patient files close at hand to better understanding the human brain. (Friedman and Koffman 2) Technology can make everyday life infinitely easier. Almost all businesses are embracing technology, such as computers, as it simplifies their daily tasks. Technology has also advanced education, allowing students to take entire college courses in the comfort of their living room, as well as allowing students of all ages to deepen their knowledge using a search engine. Even during early childhood education, technology can work wonders. Computers are often looked down upon when used in early childhood, as children are more likely to watch a movie rather than read text on their own. People do not understand “the written word along with all the pleasures that come with it.” (Gelernter 278) I dispute this statement and assert that teachers simply have not found adequate ways to use the computer. For example, teachers can find interactive programs online that help them teach otherwise unacceptable subjects. A simple program with scalpels and tweezers will allow the child to play vet for a day and operate on a frog in complete safety. Simple activities like this have multiple developmental aspects necessary for a child to become a well-rounded individual. Children will have fun and do the most important thing for the development of their minds: learning. Learning disguised as a fun activity is no longer limited to high school biology classes....... middle of paper ... from your own mistakes, and acting as a human being would in various situations. However, the computer today can really think for itself. Scientists can simply create illusions, similar to brute force attack, to make it appear as if a computer is thinking. As technology continues to evolve, humanity will also need to learn more and more in order to progress and adapt to technology. Whether it's an infant, a young adult, or Intel's chief scientist, technology must be embraced to advance society. The saying that you need money to make money also applies to technology; you need technology to create technology. And with technology comes education. Works Cited Gilbet, Muller.
