When you hear the phrase “Plastic Surgery” what comes to mind? Perhaps dangerous and risky, or do you think of the scalpel, all the cuts and all the blood? I myself think about how it's only for rich celebrities who have an extra couple hundred thousand dollars to spend. We have a bad habit of overlooking all the positives that plastic surgery can achieve. From life-changing and life-saving surgeries by highly trained surgeons to giving people more confidence and eliminating depression, plastic surgery offers all this and more. Despite the few risks and health problems that plastic surgery can cause, all the positive effects it provides are worth the risks. Of the many positive effects that plastic surgery provides, increased confidence is probably the most common. We all say that looks aren't everything, but let's face it, if you are an attractive person you are much happier in life. Maybe you haven't been blessed with the best nose, or you have too many wrinkles, whatever your dissatisfaction, plastic surgery could solve the problem and make you a much happier person. One of the most popular ways is through Botox. Botox was originally used to treat nervous twitching of the eyelid, but is now also used to treat wrinkles. Botox treatment involves injecting a small amount of botulism into the wrinkled area to flatten it. Botox is poisonous in high doses, but in small doses it only affects the treated muscles. Botox relaxes the muscles, thus smoothing out wrinkles. The effect usually lasts about six months and the treatment can be repeated as needed. Another common surgery is an eye lift.
