The headquarters of NASCAR is located in Daytona Beach, Florida. The temperance movement is what started prohibition. The temperance movement of the 19th century was a movement that sought to moderate alcohol consumption and pushed for the complete absence of alcohol. The movement was followed mainly by women. Well in 1920 the ban was approved. This made it illegal to sell, produce, import or transport alcohol.
