Topic > Affordable Care Act or Obamacare - 1151

The hot topic of the day in the United States of America today is Obamacare. It is also known as the Affordable Care Act. This particular act was signed into law by the current president of the United States, Barack Obama in 2010. We believe it has many advantages and disadvantages. Millions of Americans are divided on this specific issue. When people hear about Obamacare they always think it will hurt them. What many of them don't understand is that it will not only hurt them, but it can also help or benefit them in many situations. I firmly believe that one should study and understand it thoroughly before making any kind of judgment or decision about it. There's a reason I say that. When millions of people are divided on an issue, there is something that is interesting to know or encounter, as I think. In this article, I tend to learn in detail what the so-called Obamacare is and what purpose it serves. Although many US citizens say or believe that the Obamacare reform will harm everyone and bring fewer benefits, I personally do not see this happening according to my articles and in-depth studies. First of all, I want to start by making a significantly important point that many Americans don't really understand or know when it comes to issues like this. As stated in the article, “With Obamacare, if you like your employer health plan, can you really 'keep it'? only a small percentage of the US population needs to sign up for Obamacare health plans (Trumbull). When researching this particular topic, I want to focus on knowing who would be that small percentage of the population that would need to sign up for the so-called Obamac... middle of the paper... t stating its different advantages based on my knowledge on the matter . As far as I know, I think Obamacare is primarily about helping people who, according to US government data, are poor or fall into a similar category. People earning much less than middle-class family income could receive insurance through private insurance and also get federal subsidies if eligible under Obamacare. I think this issue alone shows how important or useful it is to most citizens of our country. Not many people can afford insurance, but if Obamacare were there, it would help poor people or people who can't afford to buy insurance on their own. I say this because I know that not all employers provide insurance to their employees. In particular, private companies and self-employed entrepreneurs cannot afford to take out insurance.
