The Holocaust had a great impact on people's lives because of people's indifference and injustice. The story “Night” by Elie Wiesel, the film “The Boy in the Undressed Pajamas” and the article “Secret Life” are the sources that tell us how terrible the Holocaust was and how we should stand up when we see people suffering rather than stand aside and be an observer. Being indifferent and observant encourages the perpetrator, which is the opposite of what we should want. By speaking out and taking action against injustice we can change the unfair things in other people's lives and save them from their horrible situation. Some people focus on their own needs because they want to save their own lives and not endanger the lives of others, but by remaining silent and helpless in the face of injustice they will not and will not help the lives of others. change what happens around them that makes them feel bad. Indifferent people will not be happy with the result of being an observer. If we speak out and take action against injustice we can make other people happy and help them overcome their situation. If we speak out we may lose our lives, but everyone around us will always remember that we died for other people and that we were not selfish about our lives. This essay will support my opinion on how people should defend themselves and others and how we should act against injustice by providing details from the three sources. The Germans had tortured Elie Wiesel in the story "Night" during the Holocaust because of his religion. He believes that indifferent and merely observant people caused the Germans to torture him. He thinks that if the people who were observers, in... middle of the paper... they would have lived in a better situation. People sometimes focus on their own needs at the expense of others because they think that satisfying their own needs is the only way to survive and therefore they simply decide not to care about others and become indifferent. You may lose your life when you speak out or act against injustice, but at least you lost your life with courage and not because you were too weak to protect yourself. On the other hand, silence and inaction in the face of injustice encourage the executioner; making the oppressor feel like they can do anything to you or your loved ones, which can go against your will and what you want, and ultimately hurt you or the people around you. People must be courageous and not indifferent and must stand up whenever they see something unjust happening to them or the people around and not worry about the consequences.
