By the 1920s, the world had already begun mass producing automobiles for both public and private racing. However, at the time there were only several car manufacturers present, of which only two were in Italy. It was only in the late 1920s that Ferrari, now a well-known sports car manufacturer, joined the ranks of Fiat and Alfa Romeo. With the birth of Ferrari at a crucial moment in history, Enzo Ferrari managed to create a highly successful automotive company that is still produced today. If it hadn't been for Enzo Ferrari, the company would never have been born. Enzo Anselmo Ferrari was born to a family of metalworkers on the outskirts of Modena in February 1898. At the outbreak of the First World War, both his father and brother were called up to arms, but were soon killed by influenza in 1916. A year later Enzo himself was enlisted in the Italian army and assigned to the Third Alpine Artillery Division. A few months later he was honorably discharged from the army due to a serious illness. Not wanting to go back to school, he began his journey with car racing companies. (Ferrari) After regaining his health, Enzo begins test driving and eventually racing cars. In 1918 he managed to find work as a test driver for a Turin company that built the very famous Torpedo-style car. After a year of working as a test driver, Enzo moved to Milan, where he collaborated with CMN (Costruzioni Meccaniche Nazionali) first as a test driver, then as a car driver. Over the next two years Enzo found himself winning several racing tournaments, at the same time attracting the attention of the Alfa Romeo racing company. From 1921 onwards, Enzo was appointed official driver of Alfa Romeo, winning several vehicles in the r...... middle of paper ......cing division. Models vary in specification, from eight-cylinder engines to twelve-cylinder engines, with almost all of the same electronic and internal design. An example of this is the Ferrari 458 Italia, which is one of the most technologically and architecturally advanced vehicles today. Clearly with Ferrari's vast past, the company was able to succeed as both a racing and tram manufacturing company, which will forever be an icon in the world. (Ferrari) From here it is shown that Ferrari, a well-known company that produces generally superior class vehicles, had a very intriguing history before becoming famous. The foundation of Ferrari began in the 1920s when Enzo Ferrari created the first Ferrari racing team “Scuderia Ferrari”. Since then, Ferrari's image has grown immensely, and it is seen and loved by people in all countries.
