Instead of focusing on lessons in school, students are constantly worried about the pressure of applications and the strain that comes with standardized tests. This type of testing induces a lot of unnecessary stress that can cause the student to perform poorly on the standardized test. Many educators argue that standardized tests are an accurate way to test students, meaning they can compare students for college and that they provide quick results on students' knowledge. On the other hand, standardized tests are seen as an inaccurate way to measure students' knowledge because they cannot represent and convey the many characteristics that could make them good students.
