Content and language integrated learning (CLIL) is becoming increasingly important in the field of language learning and teaching. In general there is a need to communicate in a second language to reduce linguistic differences within the European Union. CLIL can be used for this reduction. The basis of CLIL is that content is taught and learned in a language that is not the students' native language. This definition includes the plan of integrating the language into a broader curriculum, during language acquisition students can use the language in real-life situations and in this way it supports natural language learning. Furthermore, CLIL favors fluency over accuracy and errors are considered part of natural language learning. Students learn to speak English fluently as they use the language for various purposes.
