Topic > Texting while driving is not a good thing to do

Technology is very advanced these days. Technology makes many things really easy and fast in every field. One of the most popular technological products is the cell phone. A cell phone is an evil and an angel in many ways. I researched the issue by asking, “Are laws that prohibit people from sending and reading texts while behind the wheel a good idea?” Most people would definitely say yes because it's better for everyone, not just the driver. Texting while driving is very dangerous, not only for the driver, but also for other people traveling in the car. With cell phones we can communicate really quickly and easily. SMS is a very efficient and wordless service for cell phone users. It became very popular in a very short time. Many people are fans of this short message service. Many people say that it is not a good idea to ban texting while driving because, for the police officer, it is really difficult to find out. The police department said it issues only sixteen tickets for texting while driving in a year. In the state of California, people text a lot, but they have lower incident rates than other states. One more thing, even if the government makes a law to ban texting, the rate of traffic accidents does not decrease (“SMS”). First of all, texting isn't good for anyone. If the driver texts while driving, he puts himself in danger. It is very dangerous for everyone. There was a seventeen year old girl named Alex Brown. He was texting and emailing while driving, then lost his life in a car accident (Eversley). This is proof that texting is highly distracting and can lead to traffic accidents. This is why no one should text while Dr...... middle of paper...... more laws to follow more, so it's good for every driver. All in all, banning texting is a way to avoid sadness. The entire universe depends on mutual trust and cooperative nature. People should just focus on driving, not texting or driving, and then this world would be a little better place.
