Topic > The Importance of Morality in Stanford Prison…

In no way should it be morally acceptable for scientists to be able to alter other people's reality, yet Professor Zimbardo has never been accused of anything because he allowed people to be tortured in the name of science. If a normal person on the street tried to conduct such an experiment in their free time, the authorities would never accept it. What Philip Zimbardo did was completely unethical but was considered acceptable because it was for science, but I guarantee that none of the participants who played the prisoners would say that the experience was good because the professors did good research. According to Ghandi “there are seven deadly sins: wealth without work, pleasure without conscience, knowledge without character, politics without principles, worship without sacrifice, commerce without morality and science without”.
