Animal cruelty can be deliberate abuse or simply the failure to care for an animal. In any case, whether it is a pet, a farm animal or a wild animal, the victim can suffer terribly. Do not despair, although anyone can take action against cruelty. Animal cruelty is a worldwide problem, defenseless animals suffer every day. There are many different types of animal cruelty. For many years animals have been set on fire in places you wouldn't expect. People will neglect animals by beating them until they can no longer move. Some animals are kept in cages for breeding purposes for their entire lives. Offspring can become ill, have birth defects, and most die at a young age due to disease. The living conditions of these animals are terrible and the mothers are malnourished. The animals are also inbred and could contract a disease that alters their lives forever. This is not the only type of animal abuse, although it is the most common. Animals are captured and taken out of the wild away from their families for our enjoyment. These animals may become depressed and not live normal lives. Sometimes we think this is normal and we think it's okay, but is it really like that? Is it okay to remove elephants from the wild and put them in cages to watch in zoos? Is it okay to take Orcas away from their pods, knowing they will never fit in anywhere else? By putting these animals in circuses to be burned, we support this by buying tickets to fund this cruelty. Do you support these organizations that do horrible things to these animals? In the wild orcas live 80 to 100 years in captivity they live 40 to 50 years. Orcas live with the pods they were born in for their entire lives. They have certain vocalizations and squeals that ... middle of paper ... need a helping hand and can always use a donation. You may or may not go on with your normal life and not even think twice about those animals, but if you remember that we were the only ones who saved them. They will continue to sit there and get burned if we don't do anything about it. Animals will continue to die every day if we don't help them. People will continue to abuse and neglect them. There are things we can do to help and we are not obligated to, but it would be appreciated. Every time you help a shelter with a donation, they can continue to feed, shelter and medical care for animals who don't have any of these simple things. Donating just a small amount of money allows them to bring in more dogs. For those dogs this could mean life or death. I hope this has changed your perspective on some of the associations that were once considered innocent.
