Topic > The teaching of Saint Gregory - 1150

A. “The Teaching of St. Gregory” contains many theological concepts such as God and Creation, Christology, human sin and salvation, eschatology and resurrection. Due to limited space, I will only explore a few key elements that I think are worth discussing. First, Gregory describes the attributes of God - it begins with belief in the Trinity - God created the world and humanity, the Son saved humanity, and the Spirit sustained the world (259, 263, 362). There is no one before God and there is no creator (259). God is incomprehensible and omnipotent (259, 366). God created two kinds of creatures: visible (the creatures of the world) and invisible (the angels, include the evil “Follower behind”) (262, 278). Secondly, man was created in the image of God, which gave him a rational mind and an independent mind. will so that man is aware of God. (273), praise God (261) and live a good life with God. (Life of Enoch 294). Third, in Christology, Gregory emphasizes that the incarnation of the Son is not a sudden idea, not a ghost (402), but God's eternal plan of redemption. All the prophecies prefigured Christ (342) and were about Christ (377). Gregory briefly touches on the life and teaching of Jesus, but places great emphasis on the death and resurrection of Christ. Jesus humbled himself to the point of death (385, 587-595), he came to fill what was separated, to rebuild what was destroyed (591). According to Gregory, the cross of Christ is the antitype of the Tower of Babel. The tower stands for dispersion, representing God's wrath for human sin; the cross is about to pick up on the fact that Jesus redirects people to God (584, 585). With the promise of the spirit of God dwelling in believers, Gregory further insists that the martyrs live and intercede for men (596-597) who... in the middle of the paper... however, find a light to solve the problem problem of illiteracy. Armenians are the only nation that maintains Christianity as its national religion in recent decades. The reasons for the success are many, such as distinct geography, recurring court cases and martyrs related to national pride could be the dominant factors; but also the book of the Teaching of St. Gregory is certainly a significant reason for maintaining the faith of the Armenians in the long history. It is a "not difficult", complete and systematic way of explaining God's request, man's sin and responsibility, God's protection with which one is persecuted; provide reason, strength and faith to Armenians to live their lives faithfully. Another important thing the church can do is adopt new technologies, computerized AV aids to refine the traditions of the Christian faith and provide a new expression of Christianity to our neighbors.
