Mitosis is a more advanced binary fission in which all organelles, DNA, RNA, and chromosomes are replicated to form two identical cells. Meiosis is the cell division of gametes such as sperm or egg cells that require only half the number of chromosomes as other cells such as skin cells. In meiosis, the chromosomes first condense and divide into pairs that match and "relate" to each other (homologous pairs). Chromosomes then "exchange" data and information, this varies the result of cellular meaning unlike skin cells, and each cell is not identical. The cells then divide into two groups before the cells begin to divide as in mitosis; however, the process is then repeated in a similar way, however, the chromatids separating instead of whole chromosomes, the result of mitosis is four unique cells rather than two identical ones
