On November 22, 1963, former President John F. Kennedy was killed by Lee Harvey Oswald. He became the second of the two best-remembered presidents to be killed, the first being Lincoln. However, most people believe that John Wilkes Booth killed Lincoln, but most people do not think that Oswald killed JFK. From his future self killing his past self to other crazy theories like aliens, but 55% of our nation still thinks JFK was involved in some government conspiracy at the time of his death. Right now in America in 2014 some people still believe that the assassination of John F. Kennedy was just a conspiracy, here we will see why and how this could happen in our own state, in our own country. The first theory is that Vice/future President Lyndon B. Johnson did it. One of the many reasons was that Johnson and Kennedy were great political rivals, and obviously rivals. There is also a statement Johnson said to his lover a few days before the murder: “Those sobs will never embarrass me again. It's not a threat. This is a promise." He would even call JFK the Irish Mafia. Then the next morning he showed no concern for the grieving family as he ordered all of JFK's possessions and family to leave the White House. Additionally, one of the many thoughts as to why JFK would be killed by the government is due to him taking troops out of Vietnam. After JFK's death Johnson put them back in. Finally, eyewitnesses say that immediately before the shooting Johnson had crouched down. Could something have convinced this man to kill, was it his idea or the CIA's idea? “LBJ took a chance and had JFK killed to become president.” - Roger StoneThe next one is not far from reality, this is that it was the CIA. There was a lot of tension… middle of paper… missiles at us, and then a year later, JFK was killed. Many people still believe that Oswald did it out of spite, but since he had a similar history with Cuba, Mexico, Russia/Soviet Union, and the Marines, such theories have emerged. Many of the "I would die if this were fake" theorists think the footage of JFK's death was doctored, others think the originals were burned and replaced. The clearest evidence of the conspiracy was after Oswald was killed by Jack Ruby, Jack was then arrested for killing a man, but the man he killed had killed the president. Everyone would have suspected that Ruby had been thanked by our nation, only to find out that he had been punished for killing a man. Now Ruby is also part of the conspiracy. However, how could our brain not be tempted to come up with something different (almost everything has a conspiracy) instead??
