The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time concerns a little boy with Asperger's syndrome named Christopher. Asperger syndrome is an autism spectrum disorder considered to be at the “high-functioning” end of the spectrum. Affected children and adults have difficulty with social interactions and show a narrow range of interests, repetitive behaviors. Christopher found a dead black poodle with a pitchfork inside. This made him very upset and he wanted to find out who killed Wellington, so he investigated so he could arrest the killer, but in a twist Christopher found out that it was his father who killed Wellington. Christopher was very scared and angry at his father because he had killed Wellington and lied about his mother dying of a heart attack when in reality she had left Christopher and Ed for another man and moved to London. Christopher didn't like liars. Christopher packed his bags and ran away from his father while he was at work and decided to move in with his mother. Christopher found the letters she had written to him and on them was the address. I personally think Christopher should forgive his father even though he lied to him about something very important and killed Wellington. I think this because Ed is a very patient and understanding father towards Christopher and regardless of what happened, he was still a great father to Christopher. Judy, Christopher's mother, had also left Christopher for another man and because she couldn't handle Christopher and didn't know how to be a mother to him. I think Christopher is better off with Ed because Judy's boyfriend Roger didn't even want Christopher to live with them and was very mean to Christopher. Christopher was also afraid of Roger... midway through the paper... even though he was afraid of his father at the time, his father wanted him and loved him and Chris would eventually forgive him, but I think Roger would continue to be evil with Chris. In the end I think that every little boy needs to be raised by his father and that Chris should forgive him and give him another chance because Ed really loves Chris and is trying to get Chris to forgive him. Ed killed the dog out of grief and jealousy and anger because that was Roger's dog and Judy left Ed for Roger, we all do stupid things when we are heartbroken and angry. And regardless of what Ed did, his mother still left him behind without saying goodbye and told him herself in the letter that maybe if he had been different she could have been a better mom to him, so he is better off with his father than not would never leave him and wants to fight for Chris to come home to him.
