Topic > The effects of bullying and why it should be stopped

Good morning everyone. I'm here today to give you all a talk about school bullying. Basically, my aim is to tell you more about the effects of school bullying and why it should be stopped. Do you all know that one in four children is a victim of bullying? (P2, Neurotic Ramblings) Of the 519 students interviewed by the organization, 129 said they had been victims of bullying. (P2, Sunday Times 16/7/2006) School bullying is a type of bullying that takes place in an educational environment. The behavior must be repeated and aggressive for it to be considered bullying. So what are the effects of bullying at school? First, victims of bullying may lose interest in school. (Victim point 1, source 2) This is because they feel worthless after these bullies tormented them. They may suffer physically and mentally, developing depression and anxiety. (Victim point 2, source 2) One such example could be an incident that happened two years ago. Kenny was an elementary school student then, and due to his young age, his attackers kicked and punched him. It was until Kenny complained of a stomach ache and refused to say anything that his parents discovered he was being bullied. Although he complained to the school several times, it seemed that the situation itself had not improved and that's when he decided to file a complaint with the police. (P1-P23, Bryna, The New Paper, Monday, 13 February 2012) This shows that the bully is persistent in his actions, despite several actions taken by teachers at school. His actions could cause much harm to his surrounding peers or influence others to join him. Not only would they lose interest in school, but they might also feel even more sad and lonely, experiencing changes in… middle of paper. .....extraordinary collectors, but also themselves in the future. They may even think they are better than others and continue to exploit others. Bottom line, we should all put an end to bullying. Bullying isn't good for any of us, it just causes problems for everyone. Isn't living a peaceful life what we all want? We can start to have it simply by preventing minor life problems like this. We all have better things to worry about and we shouldn't let these kinds of little things get in our way. Treat others the way you would like to be treated. If you treat others well, they will definitely treat you well, and vice versa. I hope all of you have learned some knowledge about bullying and do your best to spread this knowledge to your surrounding peers. Thank you all for taking your precious time to listen to me and stop the bullying!
