The reason why college instructors should focus on their teaching is because the college student's emphasis is more on finishing the college course as soon as possible and taking only college courses that relate directly to the specialization or field of interest. This can have a negative effect on college students. Research shown in Anthony Grafton's survey and article “Our Universities: Why Are They Failing?” that only about 50 percent of college students persist to graduation, and nearly half will not finish their degree within six years. College costs are soaring, and student loan debt is a huge burden for many. This tends to create financial status problems for college students and families where the college students do not have a major education in their major. How can college teachers improve the learning experience of college students? To improve this situation, university teachers need to involve university students more during lessons. Another good improvement for college students to gain learning experience is also the collective effort of the group. This helps nurture students' experience and knowledge for learning. In the past, I have experienced this before in my last semester where I saw a student leave the room while the instructor was giving a lecture.
