A friend of mine, who is a wealthy girl, often pays the bill when she goes to an expensive restaurant with her boyfriend. People always criticize her boyfriend for not paying the bill because they expect the boys to take care of the girls' meal. Also, I have a gay friend in high school who was always teased. Others often laugh and imitate his actions, consider him a monster and refuse to play with him. All this tells us how rigid gender stereotypes are and it will not be an easy task to break people's prejudices against the LGBT community.
