In today's society, over 143 million children worldwide grow up without parents (United Nations Children's Fund, 2006). This is largely due to homelessness, war, natural disasters, and disease that produce many unadopted children (Bartholet & Smolin, 2012). Parentless children are at high risk of poor perception, poor care, abuse and exploitation, and their well-being is routinely inadequately monitored. Many children without parental care are placed in terrible institutions, where they receive less personal attention, and insufficient care environments can diminish children's feelings and social progress and leave them vulnerable to exploitation, sexual abuse and bodily cruelty (United Nations Fund for childhood [UNICEF], 2006). It illustrates the inequality of children's rights in society. Adoption supports the needs of children by providing for parents and provides them with a better environment than an orphanage or foster home. Adoption is an exceptional method to overcome inequality in today's society by preserving human rights and meeting the aspirations of childless people. To provide historical context for adoption, in ancient times and human cultures, children were moved from guardians who could not be parents to guardians who desired them out of affection ("History of Adoption: Timeline of the History of Adoption" , n.d.). Adoption is a legitimate procedure that permanently confers parental rights on adoptive parents. The legal bond causes the adoptee to become the legitimate heir of the adopter and puts an end to any legal existence with the original guardians. There are two types of adoptions: open adoption and closed adoption. An open adoption allows for either… middle paper… money (Clark, 2013). It emphasizes that adopted children have more value in real society than supposed materials. Additionally, the care, love, and time of adoptive families can address developmental obstacles in children. Care, love and time are very necessary for new adopted children because they come from a different culture, tradition and life circumstance. Ultimately, adoption is an excellent method to solve current problems, and both adoptees and adoptive parents can benefit each other. Not only does it help children without parental care to become parents and resolve the inequality of children's rights, but at the same time adoption meets the aspiration of childless people. If people do not realize ethical mutual help, our society will be full of poor children without parents and will stress inequality in our society..
