First I added the images of Portia and Nerissa-Gratiano and Bassanio's wives, simple objects for their husbands who offer them to Shylock. I added this detail to show in the scene how they would willingly give up their wives for Antonio's life. I also added a Bible to the Duke's desk. Bibles are common in courtrooms, but I also added it to show the Christian dominance present in the work. The last extra and significant detail I added to my scene were the Magnificent Four. The Magnificents originally appear in the play, but it is not stated how many were present in the room to advise the Duke in his decisions. So I chose four of them all dressed like the Duke, showing that they too are in charge of the court. The only difference between the Magnificents and the Duke in my diorama is that the Duke wears a top hat which shows authority and
