There were many countries in the world that had been colonized. India is one such country which was greatly affected by Britain. From the 16th to the 20th century, British colonialists began aggression and expansion. England has always ruled many countries using methods of force. Absolutely, India became the target due to its largely natural products and lack of military power. The ancient country suffered from the colonial influence. With the English invasion, many parts of India were changed in culture, traditions and political structure. They also influenced the Indians on the language. In the old days they usually used Hindi, but now they almost use English. Some changes are positive while others are negative. Overall, in my opinion, the changes brought about by cultural mixing are more harmful than good for India. The positive elements are transportation, political structure, advanced technology. The negative elements are problems of language, traditional culture and religion. While the British ruled India, they used an effective way to destroy the revolt of the Indians. They taught Indian English instead of their original language. Hindi is the traditional language of India and has thousands of years of history. English gives Indians more opportunities in global affairs and makes Indians have a higher status in the world, however, at the same time, it causes many problems. Since Indians use English to communicate with foreigners, they have forgotten the original language. Most young people recognize that English is more fashionable.
