Topic > How is solar energy converted into electricity?

IntroductionIn reality, thanks to solar cells we can directly transform sunlight into electricity. Every day, sunlight hits your roof's solar panels with photons (particles of sunlight). These photons are converted by the solar panel into electrons of direct current (DC) electricity. Electrons escape from the solar panel to an inverter and other electrical safety devices. The function of an inverter is to convert "DC" power (commonly used in batteries) into alternating current or "AC" power. Alternating current is a type of electricity that computers, televisions, and toasters use when plugged into a wall outlet. Solar energy is one of the most important energies in the world because it is totally free, widely available, produces no pollution, no emissions, no noise and no carbon footprint. so we must use this energy as much as possible to avoid the effect of other energy. The solar energy systems used in our roof produce energy directly from sunlight. Each solar cell in the panels converts sunlight directly into electricity. In fact, there are many factors that influence the ability of cells to do this. How is solar energy converted into electricity? Solar cells are made of a mixture of silicon and other elements such that there are extra electrons in one part of the solar cell. and missing electrons in the other part of the solar cell. When sunlight hits these cells, excess electrons are detached from the silicon due to the photons present in the light, and flow towards the part of the missing electrons. This flow of electrons will produce an electrical current that eventually reaches the inverter, where it is converted into usable electricity. The production of electricity from solar energy is influenced by many factors, and the most fundamental factor is the orientation of the cell. In the northern half of the earth, the best results of converting solar energy into electricity may be when cells face south, even when cells facing east or west can still produce power but for a shorter period of time. There are some systems that use trackers that rotate solar cells towards the sun directly as it moves across the sky, so the amount of electricity produced will increase. However, it introduces more complicated moving parts into the system that need more maintenance and repair from time to time. Nowadays many activators run on solar energy due to these advantages :
