In this study method, a sample size is established and individuals are interviewed to collect data (Hesse-Biber, 2010). Therefore, the researcher is incredibly involved in the collection and analysis of qualitative data (Hesse-Biber, 2010). In some cases, data must be collected directly through observation and inference (Hesse-Biber, 2010). The mock study clarifies how qualitative studies could be leveraged to analyze data and make constructive recommendations. The various data collection methods are discussed in the next section. Data Collection Procedures Data collection methods vary from observations to interviews. As mentioned previously, the data collection methods require the presence of the researcher. In many cases, the data to be collected is focused on how the researcher can analyze it (Bryman, 2006). Therefore, the role of the researcher cannot be relegated to a qualitative study.
