A nurse should be trustworthy as long as her skills demonstrate that she is a fully capable nurse who is dedicated to the well-being of patients. Instead doctors allow their egos to get in the way of using their power properly. "Self-confidence also influences the effectiveness of collaboration. Paradoxically, some people mask their lack of confidence with bravado or strength." (Lindeke, 2005). There is no excuse for nurses to be mistreated because of the doctor's safety in doing their job
