Music was played very often as a normal routine. In this era people considered it a must to know how to play an instrument, sing or be involved in music in some way. Instruments in the 1600s were capable of performing any type of music; the amazing part was that no matter how many instruments you used, the sound would always be pure and the same. Another unique thing about the music and culture of the 1600s is that it was healthy for the body too. During the Elizabethan era people would gather to dance and dance for hours, their stamina must have been incredible. Music was used to entertain most people. Before music became an important part of people's lives during the Elizabethan era, theater played a really important role in this period. It was out of the ordinary for women to take part in or be a part of theater during this time period. Due to the fact that women were not allowed to act in any of the comedies or dramas, younger boys who were still young played the role of women. The voices of the young people were still high-pitched and the bodies had not been matured, so the roles of women were perfect for them. William Shakespeare played a major role in theater during the Elizabethan era and his work is still popular to this day. Most of the plays we often hear about during the 1600s were practically his. One of his most famous works that still attracts the reader's attention is Romeo and Juliet. Another thing about the Elizabethan era was the way they said their words, what they did was use a four count rhythm and pitched their voices high and low. Throughout London the theater was very popular. In the 1600s, during the Elizabethan era, instruments had also played an important role in their time. As I once before told you that any instrument could play a… paper medium… received the utmost respect from the surrounding European countries and the entire Western civilization. There was a dance called the court dance I mentioned in the dance that it required a partner, as I said once before you were lucky enough to meet your partner at some point in the dance. All social levels could communicate through dance, but the dance of the upper classes and the lower classes was also said to be very different. The upper classes enjoyed new and formal dances more, rather than the lower classes danced to all kinds of music but not too formal, more of a noisy party. With all these different types of musical instruments and dances it was a fact that almost everyone loved this time period.
