All the writers were great, but the three I think you should use again are Ian Frazier, Leslie Silko, and Gore Vidal. These three writers have written about some of the most talked about topics making the rounds in the United States. Frazier wrote about communal heroism and how anyone can be a hero. Silko has written about the question of whether or not carrying a concealed weapon should be legal or not and the dangers it can be for someone with improper training in using a concealed weapon. Vidal wrote about whether or not drugs should be legalized and the effects this will have on people. I've heard each of these topics on the news, on the radio, and on TV. Those are three great topics that people should definitely read and learn about, and get other people's perspectives on. Their work is still expected to be used in Professor Mitsis' Composition I course next year. Ian Frazier wrote the article “Street Scene” and in this article he describes how random people take the time to help this poor old lady. Well his article shows that not all people are bad and that even the effort to help someone you don't know can be truly appreciated. I've heard this topic many times before on the news, how people take the time to help someone they don't know and just happen to save that person's life. We don't acknowledge these people enough, but Ian Frazier does, thanks them, and shows how much appreciation he must have felt for the woman. I think next year's students should read this article like I did, it's a heartwarming thing to know that there are people who will do random acts of kindness, and it also opened my eyes and made me realize that you don't even have to do much but simply try to help, and you might end up saving someone's life. In fact… middle of the paper… these articles address some of the most talked about topics in the United States and should definitely be re-read and examined some more. These writers must have put a lot of time and thought into these articles and it would be a waste if Frazier and his "Street Scene" article, Silko and his "In the Combat Zone" article, and Vidal's "Drugs" article were not in able to be used for the next composition lesson, so that they can read and recognize the information I made while reading these three articles. The topics of these three articles have been heard and discussed on the news, on the radio, and even on TV, and these articles should also be read by students in the next comp I class so that they can perhaps express their opinion on these topics as well. I hope my essay has put some thought into your mind and I hope it pushes you to allow these articles to be used again.
