The Glass Menagerie is one of Tennessee Williams' most famous works. A sort of autobiographical work that closely resembles Williams' life before fame. The play is set in the 1930s, before World War II, in an apartment in St. Louis. Where the three main characters reside and confront each other on a daily basis. Moreover, also in which they live in their own world of illusions. Illusion and reality are pretty much what the show revolves around. The characters Tom, his sister Laura and their mother Amanda are linked in one way or another to an imaginary world. Tom has become the head of the family since his father abandoned them. He is an aspiring poet who works in a shoe warehouse. He is dissatisfied with his life and the codependency of his mother and sister. Even Tom's mother is not satisfied with his gift.
