This article will discuss the past, present and future of web designers and developers. First by looking at the short history of websites and how it has evolved to what it is today. Secondly we will discuss the current trends of how people view websites on mobile devices such as cell phones and tablets and how this affects the design and development of websites. Finally we will discuss the possible expectations that the future has in store for us , devices like Google Glass, and other future advancements. The website obviously wouldn't exist without the invention of the Internet, which occurred in the 1960s. Initially it could only be used by the government so they could efficiently transfer data from one computer to another. The first website is said to have been created in August 1981. (Arandilla, 2011) The first free web browser program for public use was released in the 1990s and was called Mosaic. HTML is divided into five generations, HTML is the first version and HTML5 is the latest version. HTML coding was first introduced in the early 1990s, but it didn't give web developers much room to be creative as they were limited by the slowness of the internet when it came out, also because it was brand new and therefore only the basic coding was in HTML. When web developers began to create their own coding to help them become more free and creative, then to have universal HTML coding the next version came out as HTML 2. Now the Internet is faster and more coding means more control and creativity for web designers they can be. In 1995, HTML 3 was released and many new additions also came out.
