Based on a true story, the movie "Lone Survivor" features four Navy SEALs who go on a mission to Afghanistan with orders to capture and kill Taliban leader Ahmad Shah. The Navy SEALS are detected by the villagers and the mission has been compromised. Eventually, the mission was discovered and the men found themselves surrounded by dozens of Taliban soldiers. One of the Navy SEAL soldiers managed to travel to the base and retrieve assistance, but the Taliban shot down the helicopter. During the battle, three Navy SEAL soldiers were killed, leaving one still alive. Director Peter Berg based this film on Marcus Luttrell, the survivor of Operation Red Wings. This powerful war film features actor Mark Walberg portraying the real-life situation of Marcus Lutrell. The film focuses on patriotism and the struggles faced by the soldiers. Peter Berg shows the mental and physical suffering that soldiers go through during battle. The film begins with the training troops performing exercises, drills and tests that normal people couldn't imagine. The beginning of the film is an important part of establishing the tone that is seen throughout the film. The producer sets the film in a realistic manner showcasing morality, brotherhood and honor. Due to the quality and interest of the film, it became an award-winning film. The film had excellent sound effects as well as the battle scenes. Image quality was also great; he used many different angles to portray the actor to make you feel involved in the scenes. In action scenes the most common point of view used was a close-up which allowed the audience to see and feel the intensity of the scene. The second most used point of view was a tracking shot due to the actors c...... in the center of the card and their presence can cause concern. These political concerns are closely linked to the issues addressed in the film, particularly the war in Afghanistan and the threat of terrorism. Senior Taliban leader Ahamd Shah paints an accurate picture of what the Taliban are like, which means killing any American who enters their country.
