As the god of manly courage, bloodlust, civil order, and warlike frenzy, Ares should not be considered a very powerful god. Even though he is the god of these things, he is not more powerful than the others. He is actually weaker than the others due to his sheer bloodlust and blind rage allowing him to be easily overpowered. Ares should not be considered anything other than the loser he is because he can never win a battle, is constantly in trouble, has a very short temper, and loves bloodshed. Being the god of bloodlust, Ares is always involved in fights and getting involved in wars. However, he can never win any of his battles or win the wars he takes sides in, mostly because of his half-sister Athena. Here is an example of how Athena manages to defeat Ares, when she hits him on the head with a stone. “During the Trojan War Ares fought on the side of the Trojans against the Greeks, as a sign of support for his lover Aphrodite who had started the war. He attacked Athena who was teasing him about this and she calmly reached down, picked up a rock and hit him on the head with it, stopping his advance. "(Ares: Greek god of war.) Of course Ares can't even hold his own against his sister, when he is the god of war and should be able to defeat many people. However, he still fails to do so. Since child Ares could not help but be mistreated. “The young Ares had been kidnapped by two playmates, the twin giants Aloadai, who had captured him and locked him in a bronze jar. Ares remained prisoner in the bronze vase, almost losing his head in captivity, until Hermes was able to free Ares from the vessel" (Ares: Greek god of war.) Ares was trapped in a bronze vessel for thirteen months; during this time...... middle of paper......ly Ares should be considered nothing more than a loser because he can't win any battles, is a troublemaker, and has too much blind rage.
