It is very important to choose a topic that inspires me to stay focused and immersed in the project throughout the work period. Not only is the PPP a good demonstration of the skills I learned as an IB student, but it will also allow me to learn more about my passions. Say no to plagiarism. Get a tailor-made essay on "Why Violent Video Games Shouldn't Be Banned"? Get an Original Essay Background: For my personal process project I decided to use my interest in church architecture. I chose this topic because I like the idea of learning new things about church architecture. Also, I am very interested in church models. The idea of interacting, observing and learning about architecture is exciting for me. Also, I recently decided to become an architect. Through this project, I hope to gain a better understanding of the basics of architecture. Criterion A: Investigate Goal/Product: Thesis Statement: The goal I form for this project is “Learn more about the architecture, research the history of the Karmravor church (one of the early medieval Armenian churches) and then weld and create a model of the Karmravor church. Make an interesting and beautiful poster about the architecture of the Karmravor church. ”My model will be relatively large (width – 40-50 cm, length -55 cm). enclosed in a transparent cube. My goal is very challenging because this research consists of various techniques and components. I will try to feel more comfortable and involved, even if the complexity of the project may seem formidable global context, I needed a guiding question to help me begin my research and focus my project. My guiding question is "How did people create churches that exist to this day?" global which allows me to render the my ideas more detailed and focused on my goal. Topic sentence: The global context that will guide me through my investigation is that of "personal and cultural expressions". This reflects my appreciation for aesthetics. This ties into my goal, as my product needs to appeal to the community and fit into existing church models. I needed to carefully examine what would appeal to my community and merge my product with this idea. Evidence and Quotes: I chose this context because I wanted to bring together the culture of my school and hometown, as well as express myself within the model. Prior learning In drawing courses I acquired a lot of knowledge. I learned to interpret and build 3D axonometries of different types of projections. This allowed me to create a very concrete and orderly model of the church. I recently took the 3D modeling course at the TUMO Center. From this course I gained knowledge on 3D modeling of houses and buildings. This skill allowed me to create the model with extreme ease. In the TUMO Center I also took part in a photography course, whichallowed me to use my photography skills in this project. Specifically, photography is an important part of documentation, which makes my skills applicable. In grades 2nd - 8th I attended drawing courses, where I acquired basic drawing skills. Even though it wasn't long ago, I had forgotten a lot of what I was taught, but when I started this project, it came back to me. I was able to apply this to design my church model. In church history lessons at school I gained knowledge about early medieval Armenian churches and their history. This will relate to my goal because I will be able to research the architecture of the church. Before researching Karmravor Church I knew that it is one of the most beautiful sacred sites in Armenia and is very suitable for those looking for some peace and solitude. There is a legend about Karmravor. Legend says that there were three sisters who jumped from the cliffs. Three churches were built, each in the area where one of the sisters met her death. The other two churches built on the gorge of the Kasakh River were called Tsiranavor and Spitakavor. The legend may be closely linked to the fact that Karmravor Church was once a convent. Karmravor has withstood centuries and managed to remain standing, while the steadfastness of other medieval churches has been tested. I was interested in Karmravor and always wanted to create a Karmravor model. This is a great opportunity to make my wish come true. Literature Review Topic Sentence: A large part of my personal process project consisted of conducting research to further expand my knowledge. I first used the Internet to find medieval Armenian churches. I found many medieval Armenian churches but chose Karmravor. When creating my product, I used a variety of sources such as Wikipedia to learn more about the structures I was researching. Since anyone can edit Wikipedia, it may not be a reliable source, but the information obtained was scientific and had very little bias. Wikipedia has provided the scientific names/classifications for each structure, location, and description. In conducting my introductory secondary research, I used books such as Armenian cultural Communities in the Region of Karabakh by Samvel Karapetian (Yerevan, 2001) to learn about the basic design and architectural aspects of Armenian monuments. This book contains many photos of over 2000 different churches and monuments found in Armenia and Karabakh. Evidence and Citations: The book I used to identify the structural properties of churches throughout my entire project was: The Geometric Cube in Architectural Proportions of Early Medieval Armenian Churches by Sargis Ter-Galustian (Armenia, 2017). Comment: This book is very reliable because it was written by a professional who has studied the topic for over 30 years. It is complete and up to date. Evidence and Citations: Another book I used was The Decorative Art of Medieval Armenian Churches (Leningrad, 1971). Comment: This book was used by me to decorate the Karmravor model. As part of my online research, I came across the contact details of Sargis Ter-Galustyan. I contacted him and had a conversation with him. He answered my questions which allowed me to begin my basic research. I also went to the Matenadaran (museum of ancient Armenian books), where I met many kind people willing to help me. They offered to let me use their models and information, but I insisted that this project had to be built on my personal experiences. Criterion B: Planning Product/Outcome Specifications Topic Sentence: I will lead my ownsearch and I will display the results in my product. Since my end product is not only a product but also an outcome, there are criteria for the product but also areas that must be met for me to successfully achieve my goal. Evidence and Citations: I need to understand how churches were designed and built in early medieval Armenia, what lies at the heart of Armenian ecclesiastical architecture. This can be seen in my product based on my photos and information collected. I need to gain a broad understanding of these basic techniques. The following is a list of specifications that I have chosen that will show if my product and result were successful and that I followed my plan to make it happen: To be successful, my product/result will show: different techniques to look for architecture of church (including photographs) planning and good organization that I learned something from my project that will stay with me Development criteria for the product Topic sentence: When I make my product there are some guidelines that must be followed to have a success of " high quality" "product. In the early stages of the project I also needed to define the criteria by which to evaluate the final product. Although simple, these were important criteria that I needed to adhere to. The detailed criteria for the product can be seen in a table. This allows the product to be easily classified according to each of the band levels. Action Plan and Self-Management Topic Sentence: An action plan was essential to develop my ideas and help me meet deadlines. There were a number of basic steps I needed to include to design, create, and evaluate my product, including: To complete my research, I had to conduct two interviews, do internet research, and read books related to the Geometric Cube in History early medieval period of Armenian churches. I needed to learn about the history of medieval Armenian churches and find new information. I had to learn many skills, such as welding and using all the necessary equipment. This allowed me to start the trial of my product during the holidays during the half term break. Before creating my product I was asked to create 3 different designs. I had planned to design my template over the Christmas holidays and then create a final one before I started crafting. My project required numerous materials, which I intended to scavenge from my favorite art shop or our village. I also had to go to Karmravor and I have some photographs and was planning on taking them over the fall break. I was supposed to go for an interview with Sargis Ter -Galustyan during the autumn holidays. I will also be making a poster about Karmravor Church and have decided to do so in February. My ability to be organized was a key skill I knew I would need to ensure my product was completed on time. I came up with an action plan to help me manage my time. This helped me organize each section of my product design and research. I also had to make sure that when I was home on the farm, we worked hard to get all the physical work done. Reflection has helped me as a student in many ways. Reflection allowed me to think about what I needed to do, changes I needed to make, and ways to improve the quality of my product. Develop a plan to complete the project Topic sentence: To complete my personal process project, a strict plan had to be made within the given deadlines to ensure that none of the work was unduly delayed and that I would have sufficient time to complete each phase of the project. Wasa series of time periods were broken down and small goals were set for each time period. This way all the work would be done on time and well. Criterion C: Take action Create my product to achieve my goal Topic sentence: After completing the detailed plan, I started working on my product. I achieved the goal at an excellent level because I completed the elements of the goal statement. I started from the beginning. Evidence and Citations: My goal was “Learn more about the architecture, research the history of Karmravor Church (one of the early medieval Armenian churches) and then weld and create the model of Karmravor Church. And make interesting and beautiful posters about the architecture of Karmravor Church. "Topic sentence: To carry out my project, I successfully carried out my research. I went to the Karmravor church and took some photographs. Once I collected the photographs, I processed them and tried to improve them. This was the part challenging of my project. Then I went to Sargis Ter-Galustyan's house and he helped me create a 3D model of Karmravor. With this knowledge I began to create the model. First I built it with white paper and then I colored it. This is the most surprising moment of my project. Then I started making wallpaper based on my research. Topic sentence: I showed my model to some architects and they pointed out some limitations and gave some creative ideas. Their thoughts were very important to me. I ended up doing some research on almost all of them. Sometimes it was difficult to find reliable sources that contained the answers and information for mine guiding questions. After finishing my project, I concluded that my product was effective in helping me achieve my goal using global context. I learned many new things about early medieval Armenian churches including architecture, drawings, photographs, relationships with other architects, behaviors and adaptations. Criterion D: Reflective Product Evaluation Topic Sentence: After completing my product, I am very proud. I achieved my goal. Creating the model was an enjoyable experience. At the end of my project, I made sure that I had achieved all the self-defined criteria for the outcome. I developed skills (drawing, architecture). This has allowed me to have many amazing experiences, meet many architects who share similar interests and discover new places and discoveries that I have never encountered before. During my research, I had a great time taking charge of my own learning. Finally, my project allowed me to gain new knowledge that will accompany me in the future. Reflections on knowledge and understanding Topic sentence: My personal project has allowed me to gain a better understanding of the global context, personal and cultural expressions.
